you can see it in how they lean into each other when they talk

the night
is thick with fire flies
it’s been ages
since they traveled— bone
to bone
to–

i put lipgloss,
red as rush hour traffic
on my eyelids,
white shirt

“what important things can someone learn on youtube?”
“how to–“
“how to everything” she says
–escape from a closed car trunk,
change your tyres or
cook tofu like a boss

i watch them through a magnifying glass,
an arm’s length
or two lightyears south
of the equator,

sweden actually

they hardly move

or drift apart

or–

“speed up” says the nightmare
“work your — off”
honestly
most of the missiles have been buried

“&the continents–?”

are swallowed

like a piece of cake
left carelessly

on some weird politician’s table

.

sorry – that’s just how my brain works… smiles
a mix of relationship topics, work, my fav swedish youtube channel & yeah – politics… smiles

  1. I love the way you think, write, paint … all so naturally. Everything I do feels so choppy, like I write, and live, with a butcher knife — but it’s not on purpose. I’m just not a smooth person, like you. Teach me.

I love that lipstick on the eyes trick — the way it looks — but it feels kind of weird, and it gets in the creases. 🙂

    This is my favorite part:

    “it’s been ages
    since they traveled— bone
    to bone
    to–”

  2. That would be good to learn from YT, smiles ~

How lovely to read you again Claudia ~ Hope you are well ~ I don’t know if you remember, but its D’verse 6th anniversary ~

  3. So fun to read stream of consciousness poetry, Claudia–that is part of your “branding” I believe. It is so like my own monkey mind. Not too sure about red gloss on the eyelids, though. Always makes my day to see you. Looks like you are back to poeming again!

  4. A brain going every which way is more fun anyway. Can sure find just about anything on youtube these days. Whether or not it is all correct is another story though.

  5. You always put forth a neat collage of images for us to scratch our heads about and say, “oh, she’s right on” or “how clever!” 🙂 Nice to see you, Claudia..

  6. You always present us with a neat vollage of images for us to scratch our heads about and then say “right on” or “how cleverly she writes!” Politics notwithstanding, it’s good to see you, Claudia..
