hana zakari // bloom

he ties her to the rice bed,
wrapping rows and rows
of seaweed ’round her chest,

it’s the time of Sakura,
the days when spring wells out
from winter’s icy hands, skin
white like cherry blooms

he tastes her, sunk
in maiden lawn,
licks salt grains from
her Sake scented skin,
with little pressure

opening warm pores
to drip—
onto his tongue, she

trembles in the
rhythm of his lips
as they make space for him
to blend into her, feasting—
on her rawness,

doped & enveloped
by sesame seeds,
musky streams
and drunk–

for days

.

this is a magpie tale

  1. Claudia, you are so creatively naughty that the end result is very sensuous loveliness, irresistibly served up, with a twist of innocent indulgence on the side!

  2. What is there left to say? The first stanza sets the stage for the rest of this sensuous poem. Softly erotic and and hot all at once. I love it.

    Namaste……….cj

  3. Yum. 🙂

    Love these lines:
    “skin white like cherry blooms”

“as they make space for him
    to blend into her, feasting—
    on her rawness,”

    This is my favorite part:

    “licks salt grains from
    her Sake scented skin,
    with little pressure”

And rounding it out at the end with “drunk for days.”

    Here’s my sushi poem:

  5. Now there is a reason she looks comfortable on the thing, always why she’s mooning the wall, for they are going to get drunk in each other at their stall.

  6. I’m going to a Japanese restaurant for dinner tonight. Will I be able to get your poem out of my mind? So sensual, cultural, natural,,,to you.

  7. Yup pretty thick band of seaweed – ah well-I would have to be drunk to try this for any length of time! thanks-

  8. Hotchacha! I bow to you for your mastery. This is so so sensual. And so beautiful.
