>faucet dreams

i wanna write open your rusty core
to let the waters stream – and wet the land
and with it the dreams you dreamt and forgot
in long years of growing old and lonely
and with it deep gulps of hope
that cover the land like sunflower fields
and with it children’s laughter and lovers dances
while you sprinkle with raptures of joy
and happy gurgling streams of water
that flow through rusty memories and painful bends
and explode to merry fountains
and – together with the sun – paint a rainbow to the sky

This is my first attempt on a magpie tale. Usually I write a poem and then look for a picture to match – but with magpie tales it’s the other way round. Willow provides magnificent pictures each week and then – surprise – so many different stories. I love it!

  5. >just like life, we will get old and rusty but all the hard work and efforts we put in for better living to oneself and the community will eventually becomes a rainbow, where we can sit back and feel proud of the good things we did.
